This week we will begin with the weekly vocabulary and reading comprehension homework. During the middle of the week, we will be working on the Machu Picchu essay. Students should have already written their rough draft. This week, students will review and discuss Machu Picchu essays written by students of the same grade level and graded from a 0 - 10, so students can get an idea of what a poor essay looks like compared to a well-written essay. They will then revise and edit their rough draft for a final score.
Below, you will find links to the paper copies of what was handed out in class. If you need to make copies because you lost them or were absent, please feel free. I just ask that you please turn in a paper copy for all assignments, unless stated otherwise. This week we will begin with vocabulary, "They Look Like Us," and our reading comprehension homework will be given out. During the middle of the week, we will be working on writing an essay. Students were given texts based on Machu Picchu and will be writing about the significance of Machu Picchu as a tourist destination.

Mrs. LindleyI have noticed a need for change. Students are challenged with having too many places to go to find assignments, check grades, and keep up with their work. Therefore, for my classes, I am going to be using Google Classroom for materials only rather than for students to turn in assignments and have them graded. If you would like to check on student grades, please check Focus. Also, please use the "Contact Me" tab for further assistance. Archives
